In Celebration of

Samdai Rose Persad

October 9, 1927 -  October 29, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Samdai Rose Persad, who left us peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the age of 98.

Born on October 9, 1927, she was as beautiful as the Rose that graced her name. She embodied humility, modesty, effortless grace, and quiet strength throughout her life. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family, nurturing generations with her boundless love and wisdom.

Her warmth, kindness, and steadfast spirit touched everyone who knew her. She was the heart of our family, a guiding light whose love and lessons will remain with us forever.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she brightened. Though she has departed from our sight, her love and legacy will continue to bloom in our hearts.

Auntie Samdaye was an amazing, beautiful soul.
Met her when I was 15 years, while a student at Holy Faith Convent, Couva..
Later on, when I started my first job at Barclays
Bank, Couva I had homemade lunch at her house everyday, and on Friday, food from her restaurant,
Lady Gay.
Over the years she always treated me special.
Will always remember her as the most caring of my husband’s family.
She will be missed by everyone.
Rest in Peace. 🙏🏼
