Samuel John Crabbe was a very loving, strong and wonderful man. Sam passed away on the morning of July 28, 2020 from cancer. Surrounded by his daughters, Suzanne and Maureen, and his beloved wife Ann, he passed away peacefully and encircled with love, at home.

Adored grandfather of Ethan, Tate, Noah, Isabelle, Samuel & McKenna

Predeceased by parents Joseph and Mary, Ballymena, N-Ireland

Loving Brother to Robert (Tina) (Mississauga); Maurice (the late Wilma), Noel (Vera), Rosemary Usher (the late Rodney); Jean Markey (the late Willie) (N-Ireland & England). Also survived by many wonderful nieces & nephews and their families.

Our family will forever be grateful to Dr. Muinuddin, Dr. Hung, and the Oncology team at Trillium Hospital, Dr. Carnat, Dr. Hickey and Care Partners Palliative Care, Team 14. As well, we would like to thank all of our friends and loved ones for their ongoing support, visits and Boston cream donuts.

Sam’s love of family, his quiet way, strength and sense of humour will always be remembered and cherished.

In lieu of flowers, donations in remembrance of Sam may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario or the Heart & Stoke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be planned in the future, when the Covid-19 restrictions allow for larger gatherings.

First met Sam 50 years ago when we worked at Powerlite Devices. Even in those days, Sam demonstrated a quiet strength, was always pleasant and he became a loving and caring husband and father. Our sincere condolences to the family.
