She leaves behind her children Gael, Lynne, Bonnie (Terry). Allan (Sheila), her predeceased son Gordon II (Debra), 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Ruby was never without a smile and a kind word for everyone who crossed her path. It feels right that she passed at the cottage - a place for fam, friends and laughter. Ruby and I shared our birth date and I’ll never forget her. Sending peace to her family.

I don't remember when I first met Ruby, it must have been about 20 years ago, but I remember her. She was always kind and smiling. She welcomed me with ease to her cottage, as though I was family, and would press a bag of candy into my hand on Halloween no matter my age. She was well loved by all who knew her and I saw it with every interaction she had with people around her. She was a very caring and tough individual and will be dearly missed by those around her. I'm glad to have gotten the chance to know her.

Mum we will miss you so very much but we take great comfort knowing that you are with Dad and Gord. You were the best mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and sister and aunt. Loved, admired and respected by all. We are certain you were Swansea's oldest living resident and Swansea with not be the same without you. All of our love, until we meet again. Love Bonnie and Terry.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Have so many great memories growing up in Swansea and spending time at Gael's house and her Mom was such a sweet lady. Our parents knew each other and it was a great community to grow up in.
I know how much your Mom loved to take all the kids to the cottage each summer. She was an inspiration to us as we became parents ourselves. RIP Ruby you were an amazing woman.
