In Celebration of

Rosie Kachur

January 5, 1934 -  October 29, 2023

It is with deep respect and sadness that we announce the departing of Rosie Kachur on Sunday October 29th, 2023. She peacefully passed away at her home encircled by the love of her immediate family. Rosie is pre-deceased by her late husband John Kachur. Together they cherished a strong marriage of over fifty years.

Throughout her life, Rosie was the leader and rock of the Kachur family. She warmly supported her children Mary and Edward and her oldest grandchild Daniella as a wise teacher. Baka was happiest sharing time with her youngest granddaughter Asha who brought joy and smiles to her.

In particular Rosie also was proud of her daily homemade Croatian dishes which she happily shared with her family.

Rosie’s legacy of family values, hard work and strength lives on through her two children and two grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by family, relatives and friends in Canada and Croatia.

Rest in heavenly peace draga Mama/Baka.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Kachur family with the passing for Rosie or more fondly referred to as Baka. We will fondly remember how Baka welcomed us into her home with open arms and would never let us leave hungry (she was a fabulous cook). She was very proud of her family and their achievements and could easily draw you in for an afternoon chat. She will be dearly missed.
