In Celebration of

Rosemarie Merle

December 22, 1950 -  September 6, 2021

It is with great heartache and sorrow that we announce the passing of Rosemarie Merle (nee Kapun), following a very brief battle with cancer. Fought with grace and dignity, Rosemarie passed away Monday at Trillium Credit Valley hospital.

Having been a Microbiologist/ Laboratory Technologist for many years and then a Teacher for Kindergarten to grade 2 for 27 years, there is no way to measure the amount of lives that she has touched.

Travelling, dancing, shopping, walking or gardening Rosemarie always wanted to be on the move.

With a life well lived - no amount of time would ever be enough.

Family and friends may pay respects at the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street W. (just east of Erin Mills) on Sunday, September 12 from 3-5 p.m.

I am very sorry to hear the sad news of Rosemarie's' passing. She was our neighbor and my babysitter (a long time ago). My thoughts are with you. This is a challenging time but we all have many fond memories to cherish and get us through the difficult days.
May she rest in peace.

Rosemary will be fondly remembered by my wife and I as we often chatted as she passed by on her walk. Although I only knew her for the last 5 years I always enjoyed our chats. Rest in peace.

Rosemarie was my babysitter back in the 60s. She was responsible for 3 girls while my mom went to Slovenia to visit her parents. There were always neighbours dropping by and soon Rosemarie found herself taking care of all who came to visit in our backyard on Havelock St. I remember her being very loving and looked at her as our very own nanny as in The Sound of Music.
So sorry, Frank and Christian, to hear of her sudden passing. May she Rest In Peace.
