Rosel (Roselle) Armgard Mokry (nee Mackenrodt) passed away peacefully in Mississauga, Ontario on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Silverthorn Care Community Nursing Home.

Early in her career, she was a talented seamstress who designed clothing for her business along Spadina Avenue in Toronto, Ontario. Rosel later became a well-loved teacher for many years working with the Peel Board of Education.

There are many fond memories of Rosel hosting gatherings for her friends and family at the cottage in Huntsville, Ontario where she would spend time having conversations over coffee and tea and during celebrations, enjoying hor-d’oeuvre’s and mixing Martini’s.

Rosel enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and they always looked forward to playing many creative games and spending time with her.

Tennis, swimming and walking were activities Rosel loved participating in regularly.

Rosel will be forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed by her son Andrew (Alanna) and predeceased by her eldest son Peter. Loving grandmother of Megan, Rebecca, Derek, Tyler, Daniel and Jason. Great-grandmother to Rihana, Nyla, Octavia, Aurora and Scout. Also, missed by her beloved brother Klaus and predeceased by brother Peter. Fondly remembered by nephews Karl, Peter and Michael, as well as extended family and friends.

We are grateful for the happy and fulfilled life of our mother and grandmother.
