A full life lived comes full circle.

Roseann was born in Bloor West Village in 1940. She was raised blocks away from where she was born on her Grandmother’s kitchen table. It is also where she met her future husband, Gino.

She worked in the family produce business on Bloor which happened to be two doors away from a hair salon where Gino was employed. She told stories of how when she would walk by his shop, he quickly came out to ‘adjust’ the awning. She was gutsy enough to enter the salon and make an appointment with a Gino adjacent hairstylist. As they say, the rest is history.

She was never far from Bloor; raising four kids while working in the family hairstyling business.

Roseann did her morning walks along Bloor street for decades and is well known and loved by neighbourhood merchants and varied street people alike because of her support for them. We can’t enter a store or walk along Bloor without someone saying, ‘I just saw your mother’ or ‘where is your mother, I haven’t seen her today?’

Bloor street was also significant because her parish, St. Pius X was there, her first job at the bank was there and where she met up with her circle of friends for hours long weekly coffee chats. Sadly, it is also where she was struck by a car in 2020.

She doesn’t just leave Bloor Street behind, she leaves her legacy; a husband, four children, three daughter-in-laws, a son-in-law and seven grandchildren. It is because of her love and commitment to her family, her legacy will keep growing. Her connection to Bloor continues with Cinelli Hair, over 60 years in business and family members who still reside on Bloor.
