In Celebration of

Ronald Shepherd

September 3, 1932 -  June 14, 2021

Ronald Frederick Shepherd: September 3, 1932 – June 14, 2021.
Ron passed away quietly in Toronto at the age of 88, survived by his loving family: Wife, Joan (Robinson); Children, Stephen (Geana Demone), Shelley (Bert Miklosi), Laura, Cathy Payton (Howard), Matthew (Christine Bajari) and Grandchildren Rachel, Wyatt, Simone, Cassandra, Georgia, Christopher, Wyndam, Edwin, Cainwyn. Ron’s passion was jazz drumming and as a young man he played gigs across the city. He adored jazz and swing music and was a great dancer. His business career was spent leading the family business, Sealcraft, as CEO. He was a dedicated Rotarian for over 30 years, serving as Charter member and President in the Malton chapter. Ron spent all his free time outdoors, at the Limberlost cottage, canoe camping in Algonquin, and in his ‘happy place’ in Whitby, North Caicos, walking the beach, swimming and holding court at the Barracuda Beach Bar. An avid tennis player, he built and maintained a grass court on the back forty of the Caledon East property (just east of the garlic farm). Ron was always smiling and befriended everyone he met. He will be sorely missed.
