Ronald Alfred Searle
July 19, 1919 - August 29, 2015
Peacefully, with family by his side, at the Trillium Health Partners- Mississauga, at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Mollie, married for over 50 years. Cherished father of Mark and his wife Claudette. Adored grandfather of Matthew, Kristina and Emily. Dear brother of the late Barbara. Ron was very proud of his service with the Toronto Scottish Regiment before and during World War II during which he was wounded in Normandy. After a successful publishing career with Maclean-Hunter, Ron dedicated himself to his community serving as a Councillor in Mississauga for 14 years followed by a term as Mayor of Mississauga.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga, (Hwy10. N. of the QEW) on Thursday September 10, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday September 11, 2015 at 1 p.m. preceeded by a visitation.

Every little bit will help.This young girl’s cause is very important to the Searle Family. At just 13, this recently retired Easter Seals Ambassador requires muscle lengthening surgery so that she may walk more normally, so her skeleton can grow properly and, more importantly, so she can enjoy a more fulfilling life. Donation Cards will be available at Visitations and Service.
