In Celebration of

Ronald Muszynski

August 24, 1951 -  April 12, 2024

Ron passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his family after a two-year battle with ALS at the age of 72.

Ron was the first child of Edward “Eddie” and Theresa Muszynski; born at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Centre on August 24, 1951. The Muszynski family grew with the addition of Ron’s sister Lynne (Rich) a few years later.

Ron made lifelong friends from his years as a student at Michael Power High School and later at Western University, where he graduated from King’s College in 1972.

Ron met Mary Elaine through her brothers John and Michael Fitzpatrick. Ron and Mary Elaine were married in 1977 and eventually settled in Lorne Park. As Ron often said, he and Mary Elaine made a great team.

Ron followed in the footsteps of his father and became a new home builder, establishing Ravensbrook Homes in the 1980s. He won the Mississauga Urban Design Award in 1998 for his role in building the Garden Homes of Lorne Park. Ron took great pride in his work. He was well respected in the industry and ran his business with honesty and integrity.

Ron, however, was most proud of his three children: Kristin (Matt), Lauren (Phil), Jaime (Marc); and his grandchildren Gwen, Paige, and Austin. Ron was a very involved father and Dziadzia. He was a kind, gentle man with a strong moral compass who also knew how to have fun. He was a golfer and member at Credit Valley Golf and Country Club for decades. He enjoyed a good party (as long as he did not have to stay out too late) and loved being around his family. Ron will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him.

Ron’s family would like to thank the volunteers at the ALS Society of Canada, the staff at the Sunnybrook ALS Clinic, and the caregivers from Home and Community Care Support Services Mississauga who have supported them through this journey.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St. (N. of QEW), Mississauga, on Sunday April 21, 2024, from 1 pm - 5 p.m. A Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday April 22, 2024 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Ron to the ALS Society of Canada by clicking on the link below. The ALS Society of Canada receives no core government funding to support its operations and provides critical assistance to families affected by ALS.

My deepest condolences to Mary Elaine and family. I have personally enjoyed my home that Ron built in the Garden Homes of Lorne Park 26 years ago. He was not only an excellent builder but also a very kind and caring man. Even after many years passed, he would always answer his phone and help with any questions that I had. My thoughts will be with all of Ron’s family at this difficult time. Ron was a wonderful person who loved his family deeply.

Sincere condolences to Mary Elaine and Family on the loss of a such a kind and considerate soul who will be greatly missed. I am thankful for the fond and happy recollections of shared experiences over the years. Ron’s good natured disposition and genuine smile was evident from when I met him in those pre Western years of fun and adventure, and continued through the decades since.
With heartfelt sympathies,
Mike and Mary Anne

We are so sorry to hear of your father’s passing, Lauren. We had met him several times throughout the years and he was always a pleasure to speak with. It was most evident how proud he was of you and his grandchildren while attending your wedding last year. We are thinking of you and Phil, the children, and your family during this time. Rest in Peace, Ron. Xo
