My sincere condolences to you Judy and your family for your loss.
Ron...Rest In Peace.
Cynthia
My deepest condolences to Judy, Trina, Jason, Justin, Paige, London, and the rest of the family. Ron was one of a kind and always up for a good laugh and a fun time. The wonderful memories I have and I am sure everyone else who knew him has will always be cherished in our hearts.
You filled my life with love and laughter.
Rest in Peace Uncle Ron
Please accept my condolences. I'm also sorry that I am unable to attend; there are limited flights out of Bermuda these days and an Expedia search showed NO flights from Bermuda to Toronto for Dec. 19th, meaning that all flights out of Bermuda to any gateway (New York, Boston, Miami, Atlanta) are sold out. WestJet isn't flying here right now, and Air Canada only flies on Saturdays and Thursdays.
That said, Uncle Ronnie was like a second father to myself and Veronica. When we were kids, sometimes we’d be in his car. (He was driving…). He would grip the wheel with both hands, lean towards it, and make “racing car” noises. Somehow, he became “Puncle Salami” and the car, the “Salami-mobile”. Veronica and I would egg him on. He was really great with us.
In 1967, there was the Expo in Montreal. Mom and Dad went. As Trina was not around then, Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Judy came and stayed at the house to look after the 3 of us.
Then, there were the weekly Friday night visits. He would throw the door open, and yell, “Hellooooooo”. Scared the snoogies out of Natalie, his God daughter. There's a slide of Natalie on his lap; that was the first time she came to him. He looks petrified.
I have many fond memories of our families together. As I grew, we had many good conversations; he always called it as he saw it and gave me a perspective to consider.
Although distance (and an ocean) has made visiting rather difficult, both he and Aunt Judy are often in my thoughts. Sadly, this is the end of an era and a chapter in my life.
For my part, I'm sad to know that he's no longer there. He was ALWAYS there...
Love,
Derek

It's been a long time since we saw each other. I'm so sorry to hear about Ron's passing and hope you and your family are doing well. I've thought about you over the years and wondered how you and our Holland Marsh friends were doing.
All the best.
