It is with profound sadness that we have to say goodbye to such a warm, thoughtful caring human being. I have known Romeo my whole life. He brought laughter and joy to all that crossed his path. I know I will miss his smile and sometime corny jokes.

It is unfortunate that, due to COVID restrictions, we cannot show our love and support to his family.

Zia Maria, Rose, Romeo and the entire family. Our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Zio Romeo. What a sad time it has recently been for our family. We are just resolving ourselves to losing our mother Pasqualina, and now Zio Romeo has left us. I’m sure they have re-united in Paradise and will always be by our side.
I fondly remember Zio as a funny, giving and generous man. Growing up, he always watched over his siblings’ children and gave us guidance when needed. He was the family photographer, always taking pictures at the many Vertolli gatherings we shared in your home. I credit him solely as the one who introduced me to Elvis, and to this day whenever I hear Elvis, I remember Zio Romeo singing and dancing along.
When our own kids were growing up, it was never a surprise to find him at your door with baby chicks, or rabbits. He was the one who gave our kids their first pets.
I wish we could have had more time together over the years to continue making those beautiful memories. Always know that we keep you dear in our heart. Rest in peace caro Zio.
