In Celebration of

Roland Farran

May 9, 1933 -  April 16, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on Friday, April 16, 2021, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne. Partner to Dinora. Cherished father of Nadine and her husband John Gatti. Adored grandpa of Nathalie. Roland is predeceased by his siblings Giselle (Antoine), Marie Therese, Rene (Nadia), Remi (Maggie), Richard (Nadia), and Denise (Jamal). Roland leaves behind many loving and devoted Sister and Brother-in-laws, Nieces, and Nephews.

Roland is remembered for his kind and gentle soul, his keen intellect, deep-routed generosity, and seemingly endless inner strength. Before his retirement, Roland was an active member of the Food and Beverage industry, spending most of his working years with Roche/DSM. Roland had a passion for Travel and when he was not playing or watching tennis, he was off to the next beachside retreat. Those who knew Roland will all agree that he had an amazing love of life, music, and was always the life of the Party. He will be truly missed.

Due to present restrictions, a private family service will take place and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date. A live stream of the Funeral Mass will be available on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at 11 a.m. using the following link: https://youtu.be/tmofooMTSI4

For those who wish, donations may be made to Parkinson’s Canada.

Nadine and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. I know how special your Dad was and that he will be deeply missed. Know that you are not alone and many people are with you in spirit if not in person.
With deepest sympathy,
Karen

Nadine and Family,
We are saddened to learn about the passing of your father and grandfather.
Nadine - you and I had a wonderful conversation about your father just a few short weeks ago. At that time I learned that he was an incredible person...not only in your life but in the lives of all those he touched. You were truly blessed to have him in your life! May your many loving memories of him pick you up during these difficult times. We are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless,
John Bailey
