In Celebration of

Rocco Antidormi

September 27, 1926 -  March 19, 2023

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Rocco (Pasquale) Antidormi on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at the age of 96. He passed away peacefully beside his beloved wife Elena of 67 cherished years. Rocco was a devoted father to Anna (husband Anthony) and Angela (husband Matthew), adoring Nonno to Diana (husband Matthew) and Christina (husband Colin), and loving Bisnonno to Sophia and Damian.

He is affectionately remembered by his brother Enrico (wife Loretta), sister-in-laws Luisa and Concetta and his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Domenica and Franceso, his brothers Giovanni, Antonio, Guido, and brother-in-laws Luigi, Antonio, Guiseppe and Angelino. They welcomed him into Paradise with a glass of wine, a seat for him at the Briscola table and big hugs.

Rocco had the courage and was the first brother to immigrate to Canada in 1951, and sponsored many family members to join him for a better life. Although he loved Canada, all of his dreams were full of memories in the piazza, the village and the tratturo in his home town in Italy. He spent most of his career dedicated to working for Columbia Machine as a welder. He was always the leader and taught all of his colleagues the tricks of the trade.

Rocco will be forever remembered for his gentle and kind demeanor and for the love, devotion and pride that he had for his family. His garden was his treasure which fed the entire family and neighbourhood. Rocco was dedicated to spending valuable time with his loved ones whether it was travelling, playing cards, hosting parties and singing the Ave Maria.

Rocco was a special person with a solid foundation who touched the lives of everybody that he met. His legacy to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was in the way he lived his life, with integrity, loyalty, honesty and unconditional love. We are blessed with a lifetime of cherished memories and he will be forever missed and always in our hearts today, tomorrow and forever.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, March, 23, 2023 between 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, ON L5B 1M8 (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) .

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2340 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, ON L5B 1N1 on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

Thank You Zio Rocco for your unwavering courage that has given each and every one of us the opportunity to flourish in the Canadian way of life. Your wisdom, smile and guidance will always be with us and never forgotten. You were my second father, and I will always miss your poetry recitals over espresso.
Ciao Zio!
