It is with great sadness that the family of Robert James (Jim) Madge announce his passing on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in his 87th year. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Clive and Beatrice, and his sister Dorothy. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years Claire, sons Jeffrey (Terri-Lynn), Trevor (Heather) and Andrew (Inez), and grandsons, David, Theo, and Henry. He will also be missed by his sisters and brothers-in-law Lois (Vianney/deceased), Andrea (Dominico), Guy (Linda/deceased) and Jocelyne (John/deceased) as well as his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and acquaintances.

Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Jim studied Law at Osgoode Hall in Toronto, after graduating from Victoria College (UofT). Upon being called to the bar he worked as a solicitor for Canadian Pacific Limited for over 34 years, having previously worked in the CP railyards each summer as a student from the age of 16.

Jim will be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends, his generosity and calmness, his love of reading, his sense of humour, being a great storyteller, and his tenacity in practicing the law.

Mary and I were saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Being neighbours for over 50 years, has left us with many wonderful memories. I particularly liked his dry wit and enjoyed our many exchanges regarding our sports teams. Our prayers are extended to Claire and sons and their families.

There are no words, Uncle Jim. Thank-you for having been the wonderful person and soul that you were(and still are in my heart ❤ ).

Though I will miss your physical presence here on Earth, I am gladden by the thought that you are no longer suffering and that one day, we will meet and celebrate again.

Ce n'est qu'un au revoir,

Much love now and always,

Your loving niece,

Lyse....xoxo
