Robert "Ian" Nicholls

August 9, 1957 -  August 16, 2023

The family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Ian Nicholls at St. Michael’s Hospital on August 16, 2023 at the age of 66. Predeceased by his parents Robert (2008) and Ivy (2018), as well as his sister Brenda (2010). He leaves behind his sister Margaret, brother Doug (Pam), nephews Conal and Alec, and the beloved family dog, Fergus.

Ian will be remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand to his neighbours and over the past 8 months Ian could be found all around the valley with his best friend Fergus.

He worked for many years at West Park Long Term Care in food services. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Monday, August 28th from 6-8 p.m. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.

Ian was one of the first people I met when I started at West Park, he became a good friend for over 40 years.
He joined us playing softball, volleyball, curling, cards, and many a night out for beer and wings.
A loyal and honest man who has been taken from us all far to soon.
