In Celebration of

Robert Collis

December 2, 1943 -  February 1, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Collis. Bob passed away peacefully in his hometown of Mississauga Ontario on February 1st. He was regarded as the most kind, caring, generous, and peaceful person who always put others ahead of himself. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Melissa, son in-law Ken, son Ryan, daughter in-law Sue, and grandson Nicholas. He was the loving brother of Barbara Jeffray (Paul), Ray Collis (Cathy), and Ronald Collis. Bob was an avid golfer, cottage lover, car enthusiast, and most importantly a family man. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Joy, who passed away on the same day in 2017.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Sunday February 5, 2023 from 1-4pm. A Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, 3914 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, on Monday February 6, 2023 at 10am. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Canadian Lewy Body Dementia Research.

Our sincere sympathy to Melissa and Ryan and your families on the loss of your dear Dad. I remember Bob from a very young age when he first met dear Joy and I was allowed to skate with them at the old Lambton outdoor rink. It was so cold but Bob, who was six years older than me, made sure we were both safe and warm! He was a wonderful gentleman, kind and generous and such a dedicated family man. It was always so much fun at family gatherings when Bob and Joy arrived! I think that it’s no coincidence that Bob breathed his last breath on the anniversary of Joy’s passing. I believe that she came to take him to their heavenly home after waiting for 6 years! Now they are reunited in love. May they both rest in peace together. ❤️🙏
