In Celebration of

After a 4 month hospitalization our Dear Father Robert Bruce Britton passed away peacefully on Friday April 25th at Mississauga Trillium.

Bruce was born in Toronto on Feb 8, 1935 celebrating his 90th birthday this past Feb. He lived most of his life in Cooksville/Mississauga.

On Sept 10, 1955 he married the love of his life Jean Britton (Robertson). They went on to have 4 children John, Linda, Janet and Shari. It was 65 great years and a wonderful life they had together.

Bruce was a mechanic and electrician by trade but was a man of many talents, he could fix anything. He worked for many years as a service manager in the automotive industry before opening his own repair shop. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was so proud of all his Children. Bruce enjoyed tinkering in his work room, watching sports and playing pool.

Bruce is survived by his 3 children John, Linda (Lou), Shari (Bob) and Son in Law Karl. His 7 Grandchildren Ryan(Tina),Amanda(Tyson),Eric,Ashley(Cody),Alex,Kody(Yara),Samantha (Carter). As well as his 6 precious Great Grandchildren Marciano,Maria,JJ,Milo,Lyla and Austin and Brother Jim. Preceding him in peace were his Parents Jim and Edna, sisters Helen and Joan, his Wife Jean and Daughter Janet.

We have lost a wonderful man and will be sadly missed. It’s comforting to know he is now at peace and is reunited with our Mom and Sister.

My sincere condolences to the Britton family, as hockey coach of Bruces son John in the 1967-68 season, I got to know John and share some great memories of Cooksville with him . Like his family mine was also a product of a wonderful little village. Rest in Peace. Paul Franceschini

So sorry for your loss. Bruce was special to my mother Thelma and while we did not see him often over the past few years, we always enjoyed our visits and catching up on family news. We will be attending the service on the 8th.
