Robert (Bob) Worthy Phipps

January 19, 1931 - January 1, 2019

Peacefully, at home, on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Fran for 54 years. Loving father of Ken and Sue. Devoted grandfather (Papa) of Xanthe, Madeleine, and Cole.

Bob lived selflessly and would help anyone in need, never expecting anything in return. He was an accomplished electrical engineer and a key contributor to electronic communications with Bell Canada and Northern Telecom.

Special thanks to Dr. Kamara and the exemplary care of the palliative team of nurses and PSWs at St. Elizabeth’s and Acclaim.

My condolences to the Phipps family, and particularly to Fran,. As a member of the Seniors for Nature Outdoor ClubI have fond memories of our stays in the cottage and of Bob's warm hospitality and engaging personality. Unfortunately, I do not have a car at the moment so I will be unable to attend the funeral, but my thoughts will be with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was very pleasant, caring and generous. Just like you. The two of you made a great team. He will be greatly missed.

I regret I have been unable to get to the visitations and funeral.
