In Celebration of

Robert (Bob) Eugene Butler

May 4, 1944 -  February 16, 2020

It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of the love of my life. Bob passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2020. He looked at me with his beautiful blue eyes, smiled and then he closed his eyes and he was gone. His eyes were a mirror to his soul. Bob was born in Saint John, N.B. to Marjorie and Eugene Butler on May 4, 1944. He was the oldest of three children, his bother Jim and sister Lorraine and several nieces. He is survived by his wife Mary, bother-in-law Nick and wife Maryann, and two very special nephews, Andrey and Thomas (Rachel). Bob suffered a stroke on June 20, 1996, but lived a full life. He loved to paint on his own and also with his very special PSW (Emi). His favourite subject was lighthouses. Bob loved life and people and enjoyed every day to the fullest. He will be forever missed and loved. It was my honour to be his wife. I wish to thank all the special people who made the last 2 years so happy; Sandy (his pool buddy), his PSW’s Emi and Arnold for their excellent care and compassion. Cremation will take place and donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

I remember Bobby at the orange camp, and when Dad & Mom would take us to visit Uncle Gene and Aunt Marjorie. I remember Bobby’s laugh, and his eyes—Lorraine and Jim have the same eyes—You fall into them and see the soul. Bobby had a good soul and a great ❤️ My thoughts and prayers are w/ Jim, Lorraine and all during this very difficult time. With love and sympathy, Sandra (Briggs) & Bill Lacer🙏🏻
