January 1, 1949 - August 22, 2024

Peacefully, on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024, at the age of 75. Beloved wife of Raymond. Devoted mother to Mark (Natasha), and Jennifer (Stephen). Cherished grandmother to Jessica, Evelynn, Brynnlee, (Declan and Ryleigh). Adored sister to Ann (the late Frank) and Helen (John). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Rita immigrated to Canada with her family in December 1953 from the Netherlands. A soft caring heart who devoted her love to her children and family. Her grandchildren she was so proud of and loved so dearly. A mom, grandma and rock to the family she will forever be missed by those she touched.

Friends may call to the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga) on Wednesday, August 28th, from 5-8 p.m. All are welcome to join between 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, August 29th, at Trinity Church Streetsville (69 Queen Street South, Mississauga) for visitation. Funeral Mass to begin at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville).

Mark, Natasha and Family,

Please accept my condolences on your loss. Remember that your mom will live on your memories and the cherished laughs that you all carry. She will be with you always. There will be up and down days, those are the days where you will have to draw on each other for comfort.
