Rita was kind, funny, and eloquent when when the occasion warranted. Her strength saw her work until just before her 81st birthday, she golfed throughout the season, she took on puzzles and brain teasers that many wouldn't attempt.
One of my many wonderful memories of Nonny was when we went to see Neil Diamond, and somehow Greg Sr. had managed to get us second row tickets. I knew that Rita was a big fan, but didn't know that she knew the lyrics to every song. I will never forget her standing on her feet, singing, clapping and dancing to Heartlight. It was a magical night..
Rita loved her grandchildren fiercely and they loved her to bits. She was special.
Rita wasn't just my mother-in-law, she was my friend. Living in Prince Edward Island, I didn't see her as much as I would like to have over the last few years, but I will always appreciated our phone calls. She was always there for me when I needed her. I wish I could have been there for her over the last few months. She was loved deeply and will be missed greatly. Bon Voyage my dear friend.

Dear Rita,
Your shy smile and gentle personality always made a day of golf with you a pleasure and made new members to the group feel welcomed. May you reap what you have sown and be welcomed into God’s loving embrace.
