To our dear Aunty Rita,
Thank you for being such a loving aunt. I remember you taking Arlene and myself to the Toronto Zoo when it first opened in the 1970's. You were a loving and supportive sister to my mother, Norma and my Aunt Eunice. You were a loving aunt to all your nephews and nieces. Your kindness and support will always be remembered and we know you are now at peace with your sisters in heaven.
Aunty Rita was an integral part of our family. She was an aunt, grand and great grand aunt and she was the person to go to if you needed any pertinent family information. She always remembered everyone's birthday and other special occasions and never failed to call them and wish them personally. She even asked about the welfare of the family dogs. Rita was especially dedicated to her two sisters Eunice and Norma and missed them and thought of them every single day. She cared for Eunice, her older sister, for the last 9 years of her life before she passed in 2015.
Rita enjoyed attending family gatherings and insisted on contributing the family favourites "samosas and Indian sweets" for every occasion.
We will miss our aunt but know she is now re-united with her sisters and parents in our Lord's Kingdom.
Rest in Peace Aunty Rita

My mom Agnes and I were so sadden to hear about Rita’s passing.
Rita was a saint to my family. When we brought my mom to southbrook Rita was more then just a friend to my mom. Rita looked out for mom. We can’t thank her enough for what she did. My mom has a picture in her room with the both of them. She will treasure that picture.
May you Rest In Peace My beloved friend.
