In Celebration of

Richard Peter Mlynarczyk

November 8, 1956 - December 7, 2024

Richard Peter Mlynarczyk, a wonderful son, brother, cousin and friend died suddenly but peacefully at his home on Saturday December 7, 2024. His presence will be deeply missed at Remy Consulting Engineers Ltd. where he was one of the founding partners, The Model Railroad Club of Toronto where he was a member for over 40 years, and the Scarborough Bluffs Sailing Club where he held the position of Commodore during his time there. As a partner of Remy Consulting Engineers, Rick was well established and duly recognized in the building infrastructure, parking garage and bridge restoration industry.

Rick was a positive, kind, gentle, thoughtful, and generous person who always took time to build special relationships with everyone in his life.

Donations to honor Rick's life may be made to the The Model Railroad Club of Toronto.

Visitation will be held at Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West on Friday December 13th, 2024 from 2-4, 6-8. Service in the Chapel on Saturday December 14th at 3 p.m.

I sailed with Rick (and Owen) for many seasons in Scarborough - we had a couple of great winning seasons together too! I was always giving him a hard time when he didn’t wear gloves and for choosing trains over sailing with us in regattas lol !
We had a lot of laughs together. He had the best laugh!
One of the kindest hearts I have ever known. I will cherish the memories on and off the water.

Rick was truly a gentle giant who loved sailing, dancing and life in general. His passion for the Sailing Club was second to none. His involvement in all aspects of the club helped others enjoy the club almost as much as he did.

SBSC will not be the same without Rick.

My sincere condolences to all who knew Rick. He is sorely missed.
