Thank you for always having your door open for a welcoming visit or a quick chat. The coffee pot was always on and the kettle full. Thank you for having me 'volun-told' to be on the parish council when I was a new parishioner. I learned so much from you and became part of a larger family. Thank you for allowing me some dirt so I could plant your favorite flowers in front of the church and in the rectory. You always gave of yourself. When our hospital stays coincided, you visited me and other patients making sure we were looked after. Now it's your turn to rest and be taken care of by our Heavenly Father. May the love of a thousand Angels be beside you...
Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family and dear friends at this time.

I have been to St. Dominic’s a few times when Father Phil presided over the Mass and I loved hearing what he had to say. St. Dominic’s was the church I was baptized in, and I love going back every once in a while for Mass. I remember always shaking Father Phil’s hand after Mass and he would ask if I needed help down the ramp. You will be truly missed at St. Dominic’s Father Phil. Rest well. I’ll miss you.

I would like to express my condolences to Father Phil's family members. His loss is understandably a great loss felt most acutely by his family members. However, please take some comfort in the knowledge that he is now embraced God's love and is in the presence of others devoted to God's service. Father Phil has a great many admiring parishioners from his many years of service as a Pastor and Priest. He was always focused on helping the needy and showing Christian hospitality to all.
