In Celebration of

Raymond Watkins

August 15, 1937 - February 24, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved father, Raymond Claude Watkins. “Ray” born in Winnipeg, Manitoba 15, August, 1937 passed away peacefully February 24, 2025, surrounded by loving family and his long-time companion. Ray was a man of immense wisdom and love, cherishing every moment spent with anyone involved in his extensive work life and his retirement years. Ray is survived by his two children: Alan (Ruth) & Karen (Bill) his grandchildren Alana, Kyle (Kayla) Faianne (Blake) Lisa (Martin) and great grandchildren Ryver, Ryder, and Austin.

Ray is also survived by younger brother Gordon (Susan) Ray is predeceased by wife Elizabeth of 44 years.

He found happiness and love shortly thereafter with his companion Wanda, who brought him 22 years of happiness, travel and togetherness. Her loving companionship enriched his retirement. Ray also cherished his role within Wanda’s family as an added Grandpa.

Ray had an extensive career in finance, working in banks, credit unions and a few automotive financial wings. Ray was most proud of his 22-year career with Nissan Canada. Ray also worked as a Corporate Director with AIAMC.

Ray spent his final few years at Credit River Retirement Residence in Streetsville where he met up with some old friends as well as making many new along the way. A big Thank You to the management and staff as well as Thank You to Raymond’s care team at Credit Valley Hospital.

As per Raymond’s wish, he will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date.
