With immeasurable sorrow, we regret to announce that on Thursday, May 23, 2024, Raul passed away at his Long-Term Home surrounded by Maria Tereza, his wife, Gabriela, his daughter, and his sons, Marco and Felipe.

Just as always, he fought relentlessly against a merciless illness. Until the end, he maintained his way of being with people: polite, calm, protective, and respectful.

Since then, we have received messages from family, friends, and so many people who worked with Raul, expressing how beloved and admired he was.

Such is the cycle of life: our bodies may fade, but the legacy we leave behind endures. Just as in life, the silent presence of Raul will continue among us.

We will gather together Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 3-5pm at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto (just East of the Jane subway) to remember Raul, his life, and memories forged with friends and family.

The family would appreciate that flowers be turned into donations to Kippling Acers, Raul’s Long Term Care Residence. The link is still being worked by the Residence and will be provided shortly.
