Passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital on Friday, December 6, 2019, at the age of 89. Beloved Wife of the late Abilio. Loving Mother of John (Maria), Joe (Jayne), Gus, Louis (Fate), Alda (Joe), Teresa (Fernando), Helena (Dinis), and Elizabeth (William). Adored Vavó to 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Human Family in Christ and St. Vincent de Paul. Cards and envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.

I will always remember Mrs. Cariero’s huge tight hugs. Each time I was lucky to spend time with her, she stopped whatever she was doing and gave me her undivided attention. She always wanted to know what new blessings were in my life. I am honoured to have had her as part of my village. The love she had for life, for her family, along with her undeniable strength and courage, and of course that humble smile, is what I will always remember. A pillar to her family with a legacy that will live forever. Liz thank you so much for sharing your mom with me.
