Rama Kalendra

March 21, 1938 - July 12, 2019

Rama died peacefully at home on Friday morning at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Arvidas for 55 years, devoted mother of Daina (Mykolas) and Richard (Gintare), loving grandmother to Kovas, Rytas, Lina and Aras, and cherished sister of Laima. Rama was a caring, elegant woman. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, on Thursday, July 18 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Prayers will be held at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Anapilis/Lithuanian Martyrs’ Church, 2185 Stavebank Rd., Mississauga, on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11 a.m.

What a beautiful, and yes, elegant, lady Rama was. My last memories are of her and Arvydas canoeing on the Little Shebeshekong and Georgian Bay and enjoying good wine and conversation on the cottage deck. Sending our warmest condolences to all the Kalendra family.

We remember Rama as a warm and wonderful person. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Sadly we will be unable to attend the funeral but please accept our sincere condolences on your great loss.
