Portia Jimenez Alcantara, 70 years, passed away at Toronto Western Hospital on May 19, 2024 after complications with surviving stroke for 3 years. She is survived by her husband Jaime Alcantara and her daughter Jessa Mae Alcantara. She was a chemist for most of her life before making the switch to being a Canada Post postal clerk following her career as a chemist in Canada. She loved music, animals and tending to her garden. A celebration of life will be held at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel on May 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM. From there she will be brought home to the Philippines for her memorial and laid to rest with her loving mother Juanita O. Jimenez, father Honorato
