In Celebration of

Piotr Terek

March 15, 1954 -  February 20, 2025

Piotr Teodor Terek, 70, passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital on February 20, 2025, after bravely facing health challenges. Born on March 15, 1954, in Jeleniów, Poland, to Aleksander Terek and Anna Terek (Juszczak), Piotr immigrated to Canada in 1982 in pursuit of new opportunities and a bright future. It was there that he met the love of his life, Anna Terek (Gamrat), with whom he shared many cherished years.

Piotr was a man of many remarkable qualities: an open-minded and kind-hearted soul with a strong work ethic and unwavering optimism. His warmth and infectious smile left a lasting impression on all who met him, and his sharp wit and sense of humor could always be relied upon to brighten the darkest days. Known for his intellectual curiosity, Piotr loved engaging in deep conversations, particularly about international affairs, politics, and sports. He also had a deep love for nature and an enduring passion for Lemko and Ukrainian music, which connected him to his heritage in a profound way.

Piotr is survived by his devoted wife, Anna, his beloved children, Paul and Sonya, their partners, Sophia and Tim, and his treasured grandson, Roman. He also leaves behind his siblings, Maria, Antonina, Jan, and Grazyna, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward his memory with love and admiration.

The viewing will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 6-9 p.m. at Turner & Porter, 1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga.

The Panahyda will take place at 7 p.m.

The funeral ceremony will take place the following day, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at St. Joseph’s Church, 300 River Oaks Blvd E, Oakville.

Following the service, the burial will be held at St. Volodymyr's Cemetery, 1280 Dundas St W, Oakville.

Wyrazy współczucia dla Siostry Ani oraz Soni i Pawła.
