It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter, at the of age 77, at Toronto Western Hospital with daughter by his side on August 14, 2023. Beloved husband of Yvonne for 55 years. Born in Cracow Poland in 1946. Came to Canada from England in 1969. Received professional designations: CRA, FRI, MVA, as a broker and appraiser for various institutions including Polish Parishes Credit Union. Was a Board member of TREB. While struggling with cancer he was fulfilling professional duties to the end.

Loving father of Chris (Carly) and Julie (Kamil). Adored grandpa to Peter, Thomas, Julian and Kamila. Dear brother of the late Tomasz.

With his wife Yvonne, he loved to travel especially to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

His father Marian, a writer was awarded a literary prize in Paris for his novel “Tragic generation.” His uncle Leopold Buczkowski, also a writer, well known for the book Czarny Potok translated in many languages.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 3-6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church, 156 Roncesvalles Ave., on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 10.30a.m. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
