It is with a heavy heart of sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of Petro Ivan Skotar. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones in the early hours of Sunday, August 20th, at the age of 96.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Helena. He will be dearly missed by his three sons: Ihor (Orysia), Volodymyr (Anastasia), and Roman (Orysia), as well as his devoted grandchildren Michael, Ivanna, and Taras. Petro was the heart of the family; his spirit is with us always.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W.) on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 5-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be at St Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church 3625 Cawthra Road, Mississauga on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11 am.

Interment St Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to benefit Ukraine Humanitarian Aid Fund at BCU Foundation in memory of Petro Ivan Skotar.
