In Celebration of

Peter Miller

October 13, 1925 -  November 8, 2023

On November 8th, Peter Miller, dedicated husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather passed away at 98 years old.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Miller, of 73 years, his children Dianne, John, and Bill (Carrie). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jesse, Cody (Myrna), Sarah (Michael), Mathew, Jacob, Shelby and his sweet great grandson Nicolas.

Peter Miller was one of a kind. He loved his children and adored his grandchildren.
We all waited patiently for his usual puns and jokes, and who doesn’t remember ‘The Mexican Poopoo Bird” or Mel Brooks, 2000 Year Old Man quotes. We will miss him retelling these dearly.

Whenever we visited them, hearing Mary and Peter refer to each other as “Beeps” and “Bobe’s” was so natural. For all when we hear them referring to each other this way, it demonstrated their partnership, love and commitment to each other.

Peter Miller, was loved, respected, and always tried to bring kindness to the world.

Dad, Pop, you will be forever loved, and fondly remembered xoxo.

We welcome family and friends to join us in celebrating his life at Turner & Porter - 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26th, 2023.

Mary and Diane, I have continued to pray for you and Peter in the years since you haven't been able to come to Oakridge. I know this loss is great, and I also know Peter's joy is great, in the presence of his Lord.

Dearest Aunt Mary, Diane, John, and Bill.
My heart goes out to you. I am so saddened to hear of Uncle Peter's passing. I have such fond memories of him and feel fortunate that our families were so close when I was young. I remember your home as such a welcoming place with generous hospitality and of course Aunt Mary's wonderful baking. I can still picture Uncle Peter playing ragtime tunes on the piano.
I also feel blessed for the opportunity to have a relationship as an adult with my dear Aunt and Uncle. You welcomed Warren to the family wholeheartedly and always made time to visit with us when we came to town.
I pray for peace for you and hope that you find strength to rejoice in wonderful memories of a life well lived. Uncle Peter had such a kind heart. His memory is a blessing to all of us. Love Joanne and Warren.

I have many great memories of childhood visits to the Miller home on Liveoak Drive.
Ninety-eight years of life and seventy-three years of marriage are two accomplishments that many people never see in their lifetimes.
