In Celebration of

Paula Elizabeth Brigden Wilkinson

October 25, 1952 -  May 3, 2025

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Paula, in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 3, 2025 in Mississauga at the age of 72.

Beloved daughter of the late Gordon and Theresa Brigden. Cherished wife of Donald Wilkinson, with whom she shared 41 wonderful years of marriage. Loving and devoted mother to Matthew (Jules), and to her late daughter Brooke, whom she held in her heart every day.

Paula was a proud sister to Pam, Joanne, Mary, and Gary and a dear friend to many. Her warmth, humour, and generosity were felt by everyone who knew her. She had an unmatched wit, a sharp sense of humour, and a talent for making those around her feel both welcome and at ease. Her love for her family, especially her love for her husband, son & daughter was as fierce as it was unwavering.

She had a long and fulfilling career in the travel and tourism industry, where her love of meeting people and helping them experience the world truly shone.

A passionate fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Paula rarely missed a game, and loved nothing more than cheering on her team during hockey season. She also held a special place in her heart for Teenie and Bear, her late daughter Brooke’s beloved cats, whom she cared for deeply.

Paula's memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, sense of humour, and strength lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., (Hwy. 10, N of the QEW) on Tuesday May 13, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

A private family service will be held.

Paula, you can’t imagine how much you’ll be missed! So many family events and trips and dinners with you and Don. I was so lucky to have a big sister who looked out for me when we were growing up and continued to include me throughout her life. I’m thankful that I have so many funny, happy memories to help to ease the sadness. Love you!

How can you be gone? Who will Mimi, Pam and I meet to play Rummikub, laugh and gossip with?
I wonder if I ever actually said, "I love you" to you. I probably did after Brooke passed away. You carried a lot of grief but somehow, you carried on, always with charm, grace, and good humour. There was no one on this Earth, especially during adolescence, whose approval I valued more. No one can ever take the place you have in my heart or in my life, my dear sweet sister, Paula. I love you. ❤️ 💔

Dear Matt and Don, we are so so sorry for your loss. Paula will be so missed by many. We will cherish incredibly fond memories of Paula’s smile, love and happiness that she displayed every time we entered a room that she was in. She loved family get togethers, would greet us with a big hug and be genuinely interested about hearing about our lives. She loved being around the kids. And always made people feel loved. We love you so much Paula. Xoxo
