The Etobicoke community is mourning the loss of Paul Kirk, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose sudden passing has left a deep void in many hearts.
He is remembered for his unwavering kindness, his generous, fun-loving spirit, and the love he carried for the people and passions around him. Known for his love of music, his passion and meticulous attention to his garden, and his steady mentorship to many in financial markets, he brought warmth, guidance, and positivity to everyone who knew him. His commitment to charity and consistent goodwill reflected his belief in the importance of giving back.
Born on March 15, 1956, Paul lived a life defined by purpose, compassion, and integrity. He supported causes close to his heart, including the MLSE Foundation, Haven on the Queensway, and Youth Without Shelter—organizations that reflect his dedication to community and the creation of opportunity for others.
In his memory, the family welcomes donations to these charities in lieu of gifts:
He was the devoted husband of Lisa Kirk, proud father of Anne Kirk (Michael D’Hollander) and Matthew Kirk, and loving grandfather to Emelia and Charlotte D’Hollander, who brought him immense pride and joy. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings Earl Kirk, Gary Kirk, and Jacquie Kirk. Paul’s humor, patience and warmth made him the heart of his family and cherished community.
Paul’s legacy will live on in the memories he created, the joy he spread, and the love he shared.
We will be celebrating the life of Paul Kirk on Friday, November 14, from 2–5 p.m. at Lambton Golf & Country Club, 100 Scarlett Road, Toronto.
