In Celebration of

Patrick Shannon

March 13, 1934 -  January 9, 2023

It is with great sadness that my Mum, Beatrice, brother John and I said good bye to our father and husband Patrick, on Monday, January 9th. He passed away peacefully, with us by his side, after a year long struggle with health complications.

'He was a, 'Good man, and I would marry him again', my mother would often say. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in August of 2022; as much in love now as they were when they married. I would say even more, if that's possible.

For my brother and I, and our sister, Maureen, who is now with him, we had the Best Dad. He was kind, loving, had the best 'Dad Jokes', supportive, and truly dedicated to his family. Dad you will be greatly missed by us, your siblings, sisters and brothers-in-laws, nieces and nephews, granddaughters, and great grandsons.

Rest in peace Dad, and enjoy your time laughing, telling bad jokes, and having of tea with Maureen.

We knew Paddy as a very generous, decent and kind person. Quiet and understated, he was a terrific gardener and a skilled DIY man. Nothing seemed beyond him. Always the very best of company, he will be sadly missed by all those who knew him in Ireland and in Canada but especially by Beatrice, Dean and John to whom we extend our condolences on their great loss. May Paddy Rest In Peace.
