In Celebration of

Patricia "Paddy" Kress

February 17, 1948 -  January 25, 2019

Paddy Kress (née Brangam) incomparable woman of charm, wit and great beauty, died in Toronto on 25 January 2019. Fittingly for a woman from a Scots-Irish family, Paddy chose to depart this world on the birthday of Robert Burns, giving her family and friends the opportunity to have a drink in her honour in perpetuity.

Paddy was born in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, on 17 February 1948: a loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Morai), dear sister and devoted friend, she leaves behind Edward, her husband of over 40 years, her only son Morgan and his wife Tiffany, whom she cherished as a daughter, her adored grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth and Hunter Edward, her sisters Dorothy and Roberta and relatives, legions of friends and ardent admirers in Canada, the United States and across the Atlantic and the Pacific.

The family will be receiving visitors at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2347 Bloor Street West, on Saturday, 2 February, from 1 until 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. (tgwhf.ca/tribute or 416-603-5300)

We were sadden by the news of Paddy's passing on January 25th. Paddy was very kind to us when Ellen was in the hospital. We enjoyed several overseas cruises together and Paddy was always up for anything.

We will miss her and we extend our condolences to Ed and the family on this sad occasion.

Sincerely

David and Ellen Bratton

Dear Ed and Morgan
We were so sorry to see the news today about Paddy. We truly enjoyed the good times we had when we lived next door to you on Montgomery Road. We will always remember Paddy as the warm, funny, welcoming character we came to know. It seemed like your door was always open.
We are out of the country so cannot be with you on the 2nd. We will raise a glass of wine in Paddy’s honour and you will be in our thoughts,
Chris and Mary-Anne
