In Celebration of

Patricia Helen Simone

March 21, 1950 -  January 31, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Helen Simone announces her passing after a brief illness on January 31, 2019. Pat left this world the same way that she lived: surrounded by laughter, family and friends and on her own terms.
Born in Seaforth, Ontario on March 21, 1950, Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Margaret Bannon. Patricia is survived by her 3 children, Andrew (Kathleen), of Toronto, ON and Ryan Simone of Mississauga, ON by her marriage to Mario Simone, and Denise (Sylvain) Bélanger of Ottawa, ON. Pat also leaves behind an extended family including brothers James and Michael; and sisters Alice, Anne, Joan, and Maureen, along with many brothers and sisters in law, and loving nieces and nephews.
Pat was fortunate to have many cherished friendships that spanned throughout the years and she greatly valued her time with “the ladies”. She often referenced how lucky she felt to have these friendships; Eileen, Gay, Linda, Gail, Louise and Ann held a very special place in her heart.
Both a wonderful mother and friend, it was as a grandmother that Pat truly shined. No better cheerleader existed for Sadie, Benjamin and Augustus and she was excited about the opportunity to support Olivier and Julien as well. She kept every drawing, attended every game and always had an adventure for the kids up her sleeve. Pat always had time for playing a game with the kids, a plan for passing time at the coffee shop before an activity or an interesting event to go to around the city. Her energy was boundless and she loved spending the day exploring all of the things that the city had to offer, often with her beloved Angus by her side.
In keeping with Pat’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a future date. For those who wish a donation can be made to the Toronto Humane Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
