In Celebration of

Pat Fisher

March 18, 1925 -  October 25, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pat Fisher at Toronto Western Hospital on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in her 98th year. Beloved daughter of the late Fred and Eleanor Fisher and her late sisters Jean, Eleanor, Dorothy and Florence (Jo). Cherished aunt of Brian, Ross, John, and Tom Wilkinson; Jamie and the late Stephen Emerson; Victor, David, Robert, and Eleanor Morton; and Ellen Duck. Pat will be lovingly remembered by all her family as well as her many friends.

She had a long and fulfilling career as an occupational therapist, contributing to the profession long after her retirement. Pat was always fully engaged with her life. In her spare time she enjoyed her association with Alumnae Theatre and was a long-time member of Metropolitan United Church. She was a life-long learner with many and varied interests. Pat loved a good conversation and never fell behind in current affairs. She was an independent, resilient and successful woman. She will be greatly missed.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. at Windermere, east of the Jane subway on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to Doctors Without Borders or the Toronto Humane Society in memory of Pat.

It may surprise my cousins to hear this, but Pat had a big influence on my life. When I was a teenager she persuaded me that feminism was a good thing, and I've been a feminist ever since! She lived a long and fruitful life, and was loved by many. May she rest in peace.
