Had the pleasure to work with Bob at Bloorview Chiodren's Hospital. We started working there at the same time. I was the head of the Therapeutic Recreation Department. We often sat in weekly patient rounds together and had lunch together. A friendship evolved despite the differences in our ages.
This evolved into us visiting Bob and Mary at their home in Toronto and after I left the hospital to exchanging Christmas Cards for many years..
A truly fine gentleman and human being. I have often thought of Bob over the years and will continue to do so.

"Golly", sad to hear of Bob's passing. He was a caring man who thought about others and about the details of his work, which I knew as supervisor of his PhD thesis. I always remember his bright smile which often punctuated his serious attention to making sure things were done right and the people around him were ok. His thesis topic was "attachment" and it reflected his personal belief in the importance of relationships. I am richer for having known him.
