In Celebration of

Norma Soledad Buendia

September 26, 1963 -  October 3, 2021

Sister, friend, aunt, wife, and mother, Norma Soledad Buendia was all these things but, most of all she was treasured by all who knew her.

Norma suddenly passed away on October 3rd, 2021 at the age of 58. She was born on September 26, 1963 in Lima, Peru to the late Teodoro Buendia Meza and the late Maria Angelica Gabriela Flores Sanchez. Norma is survived by her husband of 21 years, Roberto Navarro; her three children, Franco, Natalia (John), and Roberto Jr.; her siblings, Carlos, Cecilia, and Rosario (Carlos); her brothers-in-law Carlos, Julio, Jose (Marjorie), Jaime (Amelia), and Miguel (Lucie); her sister-in-law Cecilia and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Norma was very adventurous and worked in tourism in Peru which allowed her to explore all of Peru’s wonders. At the age of 36, Norma immigrated to Canada so she could provide her family with a better life and more opportunities. A hard working and determined woman, Norma started a successful cleaning company on her own. Her greatest pride and accomplishment was raising her three beautiful and intelligent children. Norma loved going on long walks, watching movies and spending time with her family and friends.

Though her passing is tragic, her life is celebrated. Please join us one last time as we celebrate our beloved Norma’s life and bid her one last farewell.

A visitation will be held at the Turner and Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St. on Wednesday October 13, 2021 and a Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena, 2340 Hurontario St. on Thursday October 14, 2021.
