Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Collingwood Hospital on May 13, 2019. Beloved husband of Marica; Loving father of Pave, Josip and Ana; Beloved brother to the late Milan Milkovic (Marija) and the late Marica Marinic (Ive); Cherished Uncle to Kate, Blazenka (Darko), Tomislav (Carole, Kristina and Melanie) and Marija. In Croatia, Beloved uncle to Ivica, and Marijana (Mirko).
A big part of Nikola’s life was being an active member of the Croatian community and the Croatian Church in the Greater Toronto Area. His love for soccer was unmatched – especially for the Croatian National team and his beloved Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb. His love for the sport spilled over to the local Croatian youth soccer clubs where he helped manage teams for 10+ years.
Upon retirement, his time was best spent tending to his beloved vegetable garden and yardwork. No stranger to the beach, he thoroughly enjoyed taking naps, watching the sunset and playing bocce with his beloved wife Marica at the world’s largest body of freshwater - Wasaga Beach.
He will be best remembered for his kind heart and helping hand – often times dropping everything to help anyone in need.


He will be forever in our hearts.
