Our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather Nikola (Miko) passed away peacefully on Friday November 10th, 2023 at Trillium Hospital, Mississauga with his loving wife of 64 years Marica by his side.

Beloved father to Zlatko (Ana) and John (Mary). Devoted grandfather to Jasmina, Marija, Nicolas (Victoria), Daniela, Nicole and Anthony. Proud great-grandfather to Leia and Maja.

Miko will be greatly missed by his sister Ivanka (Jura) and their children Zlatko and Suzy, brother Vlado (Tina) with their children Ana and Danny in Australia and brother Ivan in Croatia and nephew Davor and by his many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Miko was predeceased by his parents Ivan and Genoveva.

Miko was born March 29, 1935, in Bosiljevo Croatia. Miko married his true love Marica in 1960 and immigrated to Canada in 1964 to provide a better life for his young family who he brought over to Canada one year later. Miko was a hardworking and devoted family man always putting family above all else. He was a strong supporter of Croatia and frequently attended fundraisers and banquets for his homeland. He retired as a stationary engineer at Northen Pigment and in his retirement he enjoyed playing Bocce at the local park, gardening, and spending his summers in Selo Matese. His greatest joy was becoming a grandfather and he showered his grandchildren with love and affection. Miko was truly a one-of-a-kind gentleman and will be immensely missed by his family and friends
