Nely Pereira

September 13, 1969 - May 2, 2024

It is with profound sadness our family announces the peaceful passing of Nely Pereira, after a short but heroic battle with cancer, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in her 55th year. Cherished daughter of Germana and the late Jose Pereira. Much loved sister of Isabel (Liz) and Sandra. Nely will be missed by so many for her smart, funny and compassionate spirit. Nely brightened so many lives with her positive and loving nature. Even during her illness, she made everyone around her smile. Her generous and committed soul connected closely with nature and all of its animals and creatures, both great and small.

Friends may call to celebrate Nely’s life at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) On Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 2-5 p.m. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Daily Food Bank, or to the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

Beautiful Nely, I didn’t personally know you but know of what a beautiful soul and best friend you were to Sandra and Liz. I’m sorry of your pain and suffering you had to endure through your sickness and hope you are pain free now. I hope that your mom, Sandra and Liz get through these difficult times with the wonderful loving memories of you and know that you are always around in spirit.

My dear Nely,

Each and every time we connected, my day was brighter and I felt happier. This was the impact you had on me and I am sure everyone else as well. You were such a beautiful, sweet and kind woman and you will be greatly missed. You left us too soon.

My heartfelt condolences to Germana, Sandra and Liz for your great loss. Unfortunately I cannot be there for Nely's celebration of life on Saturday, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you.
