It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Nellie Shield on February 26, 2023.

Nellie, affectionately known to many as, "Sister Shields", would have celebrated her 86th birthday 2 days after her passing on February 28th.

Nellie was loved by her family and all who had the honour of meeting her. She was a kind and gentle soul. She was a devout Christian woman who lived an exemplary life of faith and devotion.

Dearly loved by her brother Lawrence and sisters Lucilda (Lus), Viney, Imogene (Angie), Gennelyn (Madge)

Beloved mother of Marcia, Karen, Ian, and Patricia.

Beloved grandmother of Amanda, Anthony, Aubrey, Callito, Ieshia, Jaiden, Jaius, Jason, Kemesha, Kristopher, Kyosha, and Matthew

Beloved great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother of Jazmine, Ciaro, Noah, Liam, Jacob, Laquita, Allana, Taefari, Khaleem, Naimah, ELIJAH, Kamiyah, Zadin, and Zaniah

Friends may attend the Viewing at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 5-8 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at Faith Gospel Church, 140 Salvation Road, Brampton ON L7A 0W7 on Saturday, March 11, 2023, promptly at 11:00 a.m. Viewing from 10 am to 11 am.

Interment at Meadowvale Cemetery, 7732 Mavis Rd, Brampton, ON L6Y 5L5 on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 2 pm.

Celebratory Reception will be held at Faith Gospel Church, 140 Salvation Road, Brampton ON L7A 0W7 on Saturday, March 11, 2023, starting at 4 pm.
