Nazzareno Bertolo

January 31, 1939 -  July 21, 2024


‘Naz’ was born in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy on January 31, 1939. As a young man, he emigrated to Canada for a better life, joining his older brother Valentino. He settled in Port Credit (now part of Mississauga), where he lived all his life.

He was a faithful Catholic, enjoyed bocce, bowling and a good game of cards, and was well-known in his community.

He is predeceased by his parents, Gaetano Bertolo and Giovanna Parisotto, and his siblings Valentino, Felicita, Franca and Ugo. He is survived by his sisters Vilma and Anna Maria, and his nieces and nephews (and their families), in Italy and Canada.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Turner & Porter - Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga, on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral Mass to be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2340 Hurontario St., Mississauga on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 9:30 AM.

Entombment at Glen Oaks Cemetery, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville.

I am sorry to hear of Nazzarano 's passing. He was a true gentleman! Nazzarano was a good friend to my father-in-law (Pops). We enjoyed many porch visits with him over the years. May he rest in peace. Condolences to his family.
