In Celebration of

Nancy Lorraine Barber

April 24, 1953 -  November 7, 2021

Peacefully at home after a brave battle with cancer, on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the age of 68.
Beloved wife of William Mohan for 25 years. Loving mother of Graeme (Shannon) Jenny, Luke and Teagan. Nancy was a wonderful mother who nurtured her children with the love of reading and learning. Nanny “B” will be remembered for her infectious smile and easy laugh. Nancy enjoyed her long career as a children services consultant with the city of Toronto and made many friends in her field. She will be greatly missed by her sister Linda (Wayne) niece Heather and numerous other family members and dear friends. Nancy remained close to her late first husband Robert Barber’s family. Nancy could always be found with a book or crossword in her hand, taking notes or helping one of her children with homework or projects. Always patient, never judging and showing real love. She enjoyed planning all the family trips and spending time at the cottage in Huntsville. We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Phill Toupin and Nurse Kat from the Dorothy Ley Hospice for the exceptional sensitive and kind care of our sweet Nancy.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A private family funeral will be held. Due to the limitations still in place surrounding COVID-19, space is limited, and all guests must register in advance. Donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
