In Celebration of

Murray James Hadlow

May 16, 1930 -  April 30, 2025

Born on May 16, 1930, in Toronto, Ontario, to Earl and Mary Hadlow, Murray James Hadlow passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on April 30, 2025, in his 95th year. He was surrounded by his loving family and the compassionate staff of Hillsdale Terraces in Oshawa, where he had been cared for with love and respect for over two years.

Murray was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (née Smith) for over 63 years, and a devoted father to Michael (Theresa), Cathy (Bob), Ann (Tim), and Paul (Lisa). He was deeply cherished by his 17 grandchildren-Mikayla and Alden Hadlow; Dan (Leanne), Alexa (Josh), James, Michael, and Sean Pinkney; Dane (Katie), Matthew, Michael, Janet, Rachel, and Abby Stevens; Sarah, Nathan, Sam, and Jake Hadlow-and by his 7 great-grandchildren Scarlett and Knox Pinkney; Lochlan, Elowen, Arkyn, and Lillia Stevens; and Jack Jansen.

Predeceased by his wife Dorothy, his brothers George and Howard, and his sister Ellen, Murray will be remembered as a kind, generous, and faith-filled man. He was an accomplished athlete, coach (on and off the field) and teacher (the majority of 33 years teaching with the Peel District School Board). Murray was known for his strength, integrity, and his lasting influence on generations of students-many of whom continued to keep in touch over the years.

A faithful supporter of his family in all their endeavors, Murray's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In memory of Murray, donations may be made to Erindale Bible Chapel (donate@erindale.org), Teen Ranch Ministries (http://teenranch.com/give) or the African Inland Mission (cagiving@aimint.org).

A Celebration of Murray's life will be held on Saturday, July 19 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm in the Dining Room at Teen Ranch (20682 Hurontario St. Orangeville ON L7K 1X1).

"Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." -Psalm 23:6

Brian and I were very saddened when we heard of the loss of such a vibrant and wonderful man that Murray was to such a beautiful large family he has left behind. We send our deepest condolences and sympathies to the family, especially to Cathy, Ann and Dan.

Murray was a strict Uncle who I had a lot of respect for. A man of integrity and strong morals and family values. I have many fond memories of our family get togethers and sleep overs with my cousins when they lived in Mississauga. He will be greatly missed by many I am sure, but has found his home with his family in heaven. Peace be with you.

Dad, you brought out the best in us, leading by example in word and deed and encouraging us to do the same. You set setting the bar high for yourself and those in your care.
I'm so grateful to God for allowing me the tremendous blessing of having you as my earthly father. Your love and faithfulness made it easy to love and trust our Heavenly Father. Thank you for that gift, Dad.
God's peace and comfort sustains me knowing that you are in His presence, right where you longed to be.

Mr. Hadlow taught me high school Physics, a terrific teacher, an outstanding athlete and wonderful coach in football, basketball and track! So well respected by his students and those he coached, mentored along the way! Remember him fondly!

Murray was a very beautiful & gentle man. I always loved seeing him and getting those beautiful hugs the times he came up to Teen Ranch to visit or at Christmas. I know he deeply loved his family. ❤️
