In Celebration of

Murray Evans

June 21, 1945 -  January 15, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Murray Evans, beloved husband, father and friend to so many. After a courageous battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 15, 2024 at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga. Murray is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Joan (née LeBreton), his two children Bret (Christine) and Ashley (Mark), and his five beautiful grandchildren James, Andre, Lilianna (Christine), Chloe, and Benjamin (Gabriel).

Murray will always be remembered for his endless optimism, his entrepreneurial spirit and above all, his ability to connect with people of all kinds. He was a friend, an ally, and a trusted confidante to so many, and his absence will be felt every day by all whose lives he has touched over his 78 years with us.

He had so much to be proud of and so much to cherish in his life and he reflected on that often in his final moments. He built a family with the love of his life and was committed to creating meaningful experiences for his children and grandchildren, including summers at the lake which he held so close to his heart.

He created a successful business with his son, and loved getting up to work every day, right up to the end. He was the best storyteller, loved music, and had an incredible knack for remembering facts of all kinds. He was truly a one-of-a-kind father, husband and friend and he will forever live in our hearts and memory.

A visitation will be held for Murray on January 28, 2024 from 2-5 p.m.
